Milana
Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub (American actress and comedian, as well as activist) is a comedian. Born in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents Her career began as a child actor soon after her move to the United States. She is best known for her appearances in AT&T commercials on television. In these commercials, she was Lily Adams (2013 to 2016) and in 2020 (since 2020). Her commercial appearances were not her only activity she appeared in. She was also a part of the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015) and was a regular on the NBC drama This Is Us (2016-2017). Vayntrub was originally cast as the character Squirrel Girls in Marvel Rising's pilot that was never aired for New Warriors in 2018, was voiced in that role since. Vayntrub was Jewish born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic. At the age of two, she and her parents relocated to the U.S. as refugees to avoid antisemitism and settled in West Hollywood. At the age of five, she began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was in part due to the economic hardships in her family. Vayntrub briefly attended Beverly Hills High School. After her sophomore year, she quit and obtained a GED. She continued to get the Bachelor of Arts, Communication from University of California San Diego. Vayntrub studied improv comedy at the Upright Citizens Brigade.
